ABOUT THE CENTER

The Center for Competency Development was established to address the competency gaps between applicants/employees and what local manufacturing businesses need to provide value to customers. This gap is causing low entry wages and high on-the-job training costs. The Center will address the issue of low awareness and understanding regarding local career opportunities and effective options to prepare for them in addition to providing the training to close the competency gap. The Center provides services for both employees and employers.
